Vitomira Lončar

Vitomira Lončar is an active cultural worker in the field of theatre, film and television. She is a well-known actress and co-founder of the independent theatre “Mala Scena”. She is an active theatre producer – she produced about seventy theatrical plays, the Milk-tooth Festival, Playwrights Forum in Opatija and Mostar, and she is also founder and executive producer of theatre Epicentre within which she established a network of independent theatres and theatre companies in the Republic of Croatia.

Vitomira Lončar is an assistant professor at the Department of Production at Academy of Drama Arts, Film and Television in Zagreb where she teaches since 2005. She holds a PhD in Teatrology and dramaturgy (2011) from the University of Zagreb. From 2000 to 2002, she was a Senior Research Fellow at SANE project within the Information and Communications Management Group of the Royal Holloway School of Management in London, UK. In 2009 she took part in the SWAN Innovation Project Videoconferencing Usability for the Virtual Classroom as Senior Research Advisor.

She publishes articles about theatre policy issues in Croatia and also writes a blog about theatre policy related issues entitled Slamka spasa (http://blog.vecernji.hr/vitomira-loncar/).
